Exploring Penang Heritage sites - My purple metal pony

A day out exploring Penang Heritage sites with Betty was awesome. Drove all the way to Armenian street and started exploring town. It was like how long since I've rode a bicycle? 20 years I guess....?? The ride was adventurous, fun, and full of scenic views. I would say it is a leisure type of ride ~

1. Walking down Armenian street, we came upon a bicycle rental shop. Of RM10-15, you can rent yourself a metal horse of your choice for the whole day~ I asked the uncle if there is anything that is available with 4 wheels instead of 2 as I was kinda scared of riding a 2 wheel metal horse lolz. Before starting our journey, uncle suggest to practice at the back alley. And, get to know how clumsy I was on 2 wheels. Exactly like a noob rider trying to tame her little pony before a rodeo show.

2. We started our journey exploring around Cintra street and ended up at Tai Tong for Dim Sum... Ooo yummy ~ After Dim Sum, we were trying to figure out where to go. Pointing out for directions and humming the song "Somewhere out there..."

3. From Cintra Street, we head back to Armenian Street and approach Beach Street where the roads were close for cyclist to cycle around.

4. Under the hot sun, I suddenly crave for something cold and juicy... and what came to my mind? Yes, PikNik Smoothies~ So we started our journey from Beach Street to Nagore road (using the usual route - Passing by St. George's Church, Farquhar Street -> Francis Light's memorial, Light Street and all the way to Nagore Road.

5. While enjoying the scene and breeze under the hot sun, we finally reached Nagore Road. Unfortunately, I did not know that PikNik opens only at 3pm on Sunday and it was only 1pm when we arrive. So, after discussion, we decided to tie our "metal horses" aside one of the shop and walked over to Si Tigun Cafe for a drink.

6. Heading back to Armenian Street, we thought of using a different route instead. From Nagore road to Chulia Street, passing by the row of shop lots. It felt like going down memory lane (childhood memories)....

Ending our journey for the day slightly bbq-ued and awesomely char-coaled. Can't wait to plan and execute the next adventure.

The beauty of life~

I've always been afraid of losing people I love and sometimes I just wonder if there is some one out there who is afraid of losing me. Perhaps when a person no longer appreciate your presence in his/her life, it is best to let it be and walk away. After all, you can't control who will stay with you and who will not until the end of the journey.

Sometimes, the best way to stay close to someone you love is just being a friend. At least, you won't get hurt that much. Time passes. Memories fade. Feelings change. People leave. But hearts never forget.

But who am I kidding? 当你知道您的命并非和普通人一般,你会如何? 要就你一辈子不嫁或你就随缘遵命吧 ... Regardless of what, am trying to be positive. 今日不知明日事 right? Life goes on~

As shared by William Arthur Ward, "The adventure of life is to learn. The purpose of life, is to grow. The nature of life is to change. The challenge of life is to overcome. The essence of life is to care. The opportunity of life is to serve. The secret of life is to dare. The spice of life is to befriend. The beauty of life is to give and the joy of life is to love."

I don't know when or what would happen and not knowing how the future works out for me but at least for now, I am moving on~

Little Red Shoes ~

Red shoes out of step in a busy street
Flowers in a field of continental quilt
Soon people stop to look or stare
After all, fashion is a serious affair

Two colors or more will make a flag
But only Red can stand out in a crowd
Without the media luna or a white star
These shoes are claiming freedom out loud

Happy owner walks with pride
Nonchalant, with none to hide

Crossing the crowded urban street
Those shoes will surely not retreat
Unlike images that went their unknown way
Me and my Red shoes will never stray

You are who you are and live for yourself....

I have been wandering around in a maze and every stage is like ah.. there's the light, it's gonna be fine and when you reach, seems like another disappointment when it is actually another dead end. o(>_<)o
Yes, you may fall down, you may cry as loud as your heart want. You may even stay moody but you've got to find a way and figure out what's wrong. Sooner or later you will have to step out from the storm.

I have been going thru ups and down for these 2 years and it has made me stronger. Every stage of obstacles met was like a test. A test that involves emotions, mental and physical strength. And, sometime even $$$ or getting myself hurt. To be honest, I am kinda tired and drained out by the emotions and mental test.

You see, when something hits me real bad, I tend to keep quiet and get into total shut down emotion state (such as being stubborn/not smiling at all/defensive and sometimes showing my other side of childish behavior) but I am actually just struggling and trying to figure out the things that is happening in my life. My brain is like running 24*7. Even during sleeps, it just won't give it a rest.

Luckily I am blessed to have some advisor(s) around lolz (perhaps this is what they call in mandarin "gui ren").  With the support from my family, close friends and Mr.B, I am trying my best to strive for success and to be cheerful once again. I am thankful and appreciate the advice and guidance provided. And pray to God to bless them daily. I don't know who will walk in and leave throughout my journey in life but as long as time allows, I would like them to stay around (vice-versa) until God forbids.

Everyone faces different kind of situations and obstacles in life. Some are due to natural disaster(s) / dis-perfection of the physical body / poverty / health / work related / human-relationship etc. Just because the things that you are going through may not be as severe as you heard of in the news or through your circle of friends, it does not mean you have no right to feel sad. It's not like you don't feel content or don't appreciate things in life or are mentally / emotionally weak. You have every right to feel sad, moody, frustrated or even depress. That's just us - humans, made of flesh and blood. My remedy is -  to look into the mirror once daily and give yourself a smile. Tell yourself this, "Hey, it's me. Ya I am still alive and yes, I've gone through yesterday and am getting stronger day by day. It'll pass."

For those who are facing difficulties in life. Just continue believing "Out of difficulties, comes miracle."
You've got to have faith and never give up!
Gambatte! Gambatte! Gambatte!!!
